Beginner’s class quilt

Quilt Archives 004Project: crib
Size: Approx. 45 X 36
Reference/Pattern: Beginner’s class by Mabeth Oxenreider at The Quilt Block, Valley Junction, IA/Nine-patch
Designed by: Mabeth Oxenreider?
Constructed by: Barbara Wolff, Waukee, IA
Quilted by: Barbara Wolff, domestic machine
Completed : January, 1997
Techniques Used: machine pieced, hand applique, machine and hand quilted

Notes: Knowing there’s always more that can be learned, I took this class. There’s a little of everything. What was totally knew to me was the applique and the mitered binding. The mitered binding was a fairly knew technique at the time I believe. Gave it to my sister-in-law since she likes purple.
